Rhone Style Blend

A unique blend of Counoise, Grenache, and Syrah, this is a medium bodied red wine with delightful aromatics, bright fuit and spice. Blackberry and blueberry dominate on the palate, while smooth tannins lend a firm structure and velvety mouth-feel.

One of the bolder Bordeaux-style varietals, this richly extracted Petit Verdot is a pleasure to experience. Observed in the glass, the rich dark color is an omen of what’s to come. This is a full-bodied, fruit forward wine (blackberry and other dark berry notes), and cellaring has contributed to the velvety tannins.

Great wines must start with great grapes. At Opolo Vineyards, our wines are produced with grapes from our own vineyards. We have direct control of the viticultural practices, and as a result, we learn whatworks best in the vineyard to produce exceptional wines. This Syrah showcases the potential of Syrah grown in the Paso robles area. It offers a generous bouquet of fruit, while barrel aging for 20 months in both French and American oak has lent this wine a beautiful lightly toasted component and lush mouth-feel. The color is a rich garnet and the natural acidity is well balanced.

Upfront aromas strawberry and blueberry are complimented with nuanced vanilla and clove. Wonderfully fruit forward flavors of raspberry and cherry lead to a delightfully long and satisfying finish. The Fusion blends the complex and robust structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the delightfully fruit forward core of Syrah. Spicy aromas of black plum, blackberry, cinnamon, allspice, and dominate. Full bodied and fleshy with an incredibly full and rounded mid mouth that leads to a wonderfully long finish. Pair with marinated skirt steak or wild mushroom risotto.

The richness and body of Sangiovese combined with the fresh liveliness of Barbara combine to create a truly exceptional wine. Opens with spiced cranberry and raspberry followed with cherry and cedar. Medium bodied with a wonderfully racy finish that does not end. Pair with chicken cacciatore or spicy Thai food. Drinkable now and will age with proper cellaring for 5-7 years.
