Grown on our Paso Robles vineyards, this unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petite Sirah has resulted in a symphony of berry and black cherry with well integrated tannin and balanced acidity. Oak aging has given this wine notes of butterscotch and vanilla.

Concentrated aromas of blackberry and black cherry dominate with hints of mint and vanilla round it the nose. Layers of black current and cherry lead into a mid-palate loaded with dark fruit and chocolate. Full bodied and robust with a finish that goes on and on.
Our grapes are sourced from our estate vineyards in Paso Robles. Cooling breezes from the nearby Pacific Ocean contribute foggy mornings and lower summer temperatures, which produces exceptional, expressive fruit.
The 2011 Vintage was characterized by an unusually long and cool growing season. While yields were low, fruit quality was very high. Low yields and the lengthy growing season allowed the grapes to mature over an extended period that produced intense varietal flavors and aromas.
The Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon lots were handled separately - but identically - until blending just prior to bottling. The two lots were both fermented stainless steel fermenters and pressed after spending three weeks on their skins. Aging occurred in French and Eastern European oak barrels, giving both lots nicely integrated oak tannins. After 18 months in oak aging, the win was blended and bottled.
